Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026

The rules for using Stacked. By signing in or playing, you agree to them, so please read them first.

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Stacked Poker ("Stacked", "we", "us") and cover stackedpoker.io, the game and everything that comes with it (the "service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

Who can play

  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • Real-money poker must be legal where you are. You are responsible for checking your local law; we do not give legal advice.
  • You must not be in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive US, UK or EU sanctions, or on a sanctions list.
  • You must not use a VPN or other tool to get around a restriction on where Stacked is available.

We may restrict access from some regions. See where Stacked is available.

Your account

One account per person. You are responsible for your sign-in methods and any wallet you connect, and for everything done with them. Transactions you sign on the blockchain cannot be reversed by us or anyone else. Sign-in and in-app wallets are provided by thirdweb, under its own terms.

Free Play and real money

Free Play chips have no value, cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn, and are gone when you leave the table.

Real-money tables use USDC on Base, at 1 chip = $0.01. When you sit down, your buy-in moves into that table's smart contract; when you leave, it moves back to your wallet. A platform fee is taken from each real-money pot, and a share of it goes to the table's Host. The current fee and caps are published in how fees work. You pay the network fee on deposits and withdrawals you sign yourself.

Smart contracts and their risks

Real-money balances are held by smart contracts on Base, not by us. If settlement at a table stalls for 24 hours, you can withdraw your last settled stack straight from the contract; see the emergency exit.

We operate these contracts. We can update table contract code, pause tables and, in an emergency, close a table, which returns every balance to its owner. Using blockchain software carries risks we cannot remove, including software bugs, network outages or congestion, and the risk that USDC loses its dollar value. USDC is not a bank deposit and is not insured. Only play with money you can afford to lose.

Tournaments, free entries and promotions

Each tournament shows its own buy-in, structure, payouts and entry requirements, and those form part of these terms. Free entries, codes and bonus prizes are personal, have no cash value until won, and may carry extra conditions shown where you claim them. We may cancel a tournament or promotion that cannot run fairly; if a paid tournament is cancelled, buy-ins are handled as that tournament's rules describe.

Hosting a table

Hosts choose stakes, approve players and can pause or end their tables. Hosts earn the share of the platform fee described in the docs. Hosts cannot move any player's funds, and must follow these terms like everyone else.

Fair play

You must not:

  • use bots, scripts, solvers or any real-time assistance while playing;
  • collude with other players, share hole cards, or deliberately lose chips to another player;
  • open or use more than one account, or use someone else’s;
  • exploit a bug instead of reporting it;
  • get around tournament entry limits, including the limit on accounts per connection;
  • harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post unlawful or hateful content in chat or in your nickname;
  • interfere with the service, our infrastructure or the smart contracts.

If we reasonably believe you have broken these rules, we may remove you from tables, disqualify you from tournaments, withhold prizes and free entries that have not been paid out, and suspend or close your access. None of this lets us take a balance held in a table's smart contract.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post, such as your nickname, avatar and chat messages. You allow us to display it as part of the service, for example at the table and on leaderboards and share images. We may remove anything that breaks these terms.

Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes on your winnings and for reporting them where you live.

Changes to the service

We are building Stacked in the open and it will change. We may add, change or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Your real-money balances stay in their smart contracts through any change or outage.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing on Stacked is financial, investment or legal advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Stacked is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the platform fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.

Ending your use

You can stop using Stacked at any time; withdraw your balances from any table first. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the law requires it. The sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Stacked after that means you accept the new terms.
